The volcano eruption in Iceland |
The volcano Eyjafallajökull has caused quite a lot of stir on mainland Europe. There is no need to worry if you're coming to Iceland. Only a very small part of Iceland has been hit with falling ash and none of our camp sites have reported to us concerning ash or other disturbance. Judging from foreign media one might get the impression that Iceland was covered in ash. It is nothing like that, Icelanders hardly notice there is a volcano eruption going on apart from farmers that live very close to the volcano.
The eruption has lost a lot of it's powers and hardly any ash is coming down so don't worry come to Iceland where adventures wait for you at every corner.

Two new camp sites in the 2010 Camping Card |
We are happy to inform that the we have secured two additional camp sites on the Western Fjords of Iceland. The camp sites are Thingeyri and Flateyri. These additions make travelling through the Western Fjords much easier as the distances between camp sites are much shorter. Further info about these camp sites will be on the map and on the web page soon. |
We are currently working on information for the upcoming summer. We aim to have all the necessary information by the end of the week. |
